Situation Room Experience: Washington’s Cabinet
In partnership with George Washington's Mount Vernon, The Ronald Reagan Library sought to create a new Situation Room Experience featuring George Washington’s presidential cabinet during the aftermath of the Revolutionary War.
Wide Awake helped produce the video portion of “Washington’s Cabinet”, while an interactive game was also developed which teaches students to work together in a high-stakes environment and make important decisions about developing events. This project relied heavily on motion graphics to tell the story of the challenges that faced the early years of our nation.
Much of the filming for this project was done on a large greenscreen soundstage with characters being composited into historic backgrounds or utilizing their silhouettes within the motion graphics. This blend of techniques allowed us to create dynamic imagery and exciting, fluid pacing to keep the viewers engaged, many of whom are students from around the country.
