Fighting for Lincoln: The Wide Awakes
Produced for Curiosity Stream as part of their journey into creating original streaming content, “Fighting For Lincoln” examines the history and consequence of the Wide Awakes group in helping to get Abraham Lincoln elected president in 1860.
Per our norm, we demanded historically-accurate props, crafting our own authentic Wide Awake uniforms, capes, caps, and torches, based on descriptions and patterns from the time period. Along with this feature-length documentary, we also produced three mini-episodes as companion pieces to this film, which were released as part of Curiosity Stream’s “Electing Lincoln” series. And yes, our company’s name is derived from this movement.
