Civil War 1864 Experience
Produced for the American Battlefield Trust, Wide Awake Films created a Virtual Reality experience that places the viewer into the Civil War trenches of Petersburg, Virginia. This experience was designed to give one a sense of the terrible conditions that Union and Confederate soldiers at this time. This production has earned more than 39 million views on YouTube, making it the most-viewed production for the American Battlefield Trust.
Designing for VR
Shooting Virtual Reality productions requires a great deal of skill, but before the cameras roll, it’s vital that one think through what sort of scenes and experiences work well in a Virtual Reality environment. Working with our partners and clients, Wide Awake Films will work with you to talk through how best to use this new technology.
Step-Into History (VR)
Wide Awake Films has been pioneering the capability of melding together historic Civil War images with modern videography into a series of “Step Into History” productions. Also produced in VR, one can join American Battlefield Trust experts as they walk the very ground where these historic images were taken.
