D-Day: The Medal of Honor on Omaha Beach

Working with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Character Development Team, we created a short film that tells the heroic stories of Medal of Honor Recipients Pinder, Barrett, and Monteith: three soldiers who fought in intense combat off the shores of Normandy in what became known as D-Day.

Produced for middle and high school students, the film accompanies the CDP’s “The Fight for the Beach: Acts of Courage on D-Day” program, a lesson plan that teaches the six core character traits displayed by Medal of Honor recipients, alongside their real-life stories.

This film won a 2023 Silver Telly Award in the Craft: Use of Archival Footage category.
